Altrincham (pronunciation is a town within the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford, in Greater Manchester, England.[1] It lies on flat ground south of the River Mersey 7.7 miles (12.4 km) southwest of Manchester City Centre, and 4.2 miles (6.8 km) south-southeast of Stretford. It has a population of 67,000.
